Good coaching is the foundation of every successful team. In order for a coach to be effective, he has to have extensive knowledge of the game and, more importantly, the ability to communicate this information in a way that players can learn quickly and properly. A strong coach must make every effort to improve his coaching knowledge and abilities. A coach is, by nature of the position, a role model to the players with which he spends so much time. Metro Soccer Club believes that in addition to the necessary expertise in soccer, our coaches must also have strong ethics, values, morals, and patience. Metro Soccer Club holds its coaching staff to this high standard of values.

Massimo Pauri

Massimo Pauri was born in Rome, Italy in 1971 and, like most kids in Italy, started playing soccer in the streets due to lack of soccer fields. Massimo developed soccer-wise in the youth system of the S.S. Lazio Professional soccer club, with whom he played until he came to America in 1991.

After moving the the U.S., he became Vice President of the Italian Club of Dallas and the club’s Sport Director. There he formed a young soccer team of Italians called Azzurri to commemorate the nickname of the Italian national team. Massimo played for Azzurri for two seasons.

Massimo’s dream has always been to form a soccer school where he can share his great knowledge of the game and pass on his passion for soccer to young players.

He currently holds a U.S.S.F “Y” National coaching license, and a U.S.S.F “D” National Coaching License.
